Choosing a flex box
What a flex box is
A flex box is an extension box: a set of sockets in a sturdy body, connected to a length of flexible cord with a plug, so you can bring power to where you work. The VIYONA Flex Box line is offered in V2, V5 and V9 models, with the cord length in metres given in each product name, such as 2x4 mtr and 3x4 mtr.

Unlike a spike guard, which usually sits near a wall socket, a flex box is built to carry power some distance away from the socket, so the cord and its care matter as much as the sockets.
Choosing the length
Pick the shortest cord that reaches comfortably. A longer cord gives flexibility for workshops, events and site work, but extra cord lying in loops is a trip hazard and is easier to damage. Measure the distance from the socket to where you will use the power, and allow for routing around furniture or doors.
