The KEMPS DAISY Series K536 is a 32 AX dp switch (indicator) from the KEMPS Modular range. It is listed in the Vinayak Electricals catalogue as K536, and is manufactured at our Mumbai works.
It fits 4 plate ranges — PEONY Modular Plates, ORCHID Modular Plates, DAISY Modular Plates and ASTER Modular Plates — so the same module can be specified across a project without changing the plate design in every room.
In the printed catalogue it is listed under "20 AMP. 2M DAISY SWITCHES", packed 10 pieces to a box. It is sold by the full box, not as single pieces.
Match the rating to the load
The current rating is the maximum the accessory is built to carry, not a recommendation. A geyser, an air conditioner or an oven belongs on a 16 A or 20 A circuit of its own; lights and phone chargers do not need one. If you are unsure what a circuit draws, ask the electrician doing the installation.
One module, many plate designs
This module fits every plate range listed above, so a project can standardise on one set of modules and still vary the plate design room by room. It also means a replacement years later is a catalogue code, not a hunt for a discontinued look.

Start with what the switch has to do. 1-way turns a light or fan on and off from one place. 2-way works in pairs, so a stair or corridor light can be switched from both ends. Bell push springs back when released, for a door bell. A DP switch breaks both wires and suits heavy fixed appliances. An indicator switch shows a small light when the circuit is on, which helps for a geyser you cannot see. See types of electrical switches for more.
The rating is the most current the switch is built to carry safely. Lights, fans and small electronics sit on a 6A or 10AX switch. Heavy loads such as the geyser, air conditioner, microwave and iron need a 16A or higher-rated switch. Heavy load, higher rating 6A on a geyser
A switch that runs hot or sparks is a fault, not a quirk. Stop using it, switch off its MCB and call a licensed electrician. Our hot switch and sparking guide explains the signs.
