Fan regulator price list: how to read it
This fan regulator price list gives the printed MRP of every fan regulator and light dimmer we make, code by code, with the box quantity and the HSN code. Our fan regulators run from ₹215 for a VIYONA mini 4 step to ₹495 for a KEMPS Duro 5 step in G.Grey.
The board decides the family. A modular board takes a KEMPS or VIZA regulator that clips in beside the switches; a conventional sheet board takes a VIYONA regulator.
Which regulator fits which board
Drawn by us, not to scale. Codes and MRPs from our printed catalogue.
How the two kinds of regulator work, and how one is wired, is covered in our fan regulator types guide. This page is the price list behind it.
KEMPS fan regulator price
KEMPS regulators come in white and G.Grey, 10 to a box, HSN 84149030:
- K213/K613 Tiny EME 4 step fan regulator: ₹405 white, ₹440 G.Grey
- K214/K614 Duro EME 5 step fan regulator: ₹450 white, ₹495 G.Grey
These match the KEMPS Peony, Daisy, Orchid, Vinca and Aster switches, so the regulator is the same colour and finish as the rest of the board. KEMPS has the costliest regulator we make, the K614 at ₹495; the white K213 is ₹405 against ₹340 for the VIZA Tiny V275. See the KEMPS switches and sockets page for the range.

VIZA fan regulator price
VIZA regulators fit VIZA plates. The modular series has four, the black series two:
- V275 Tiny EME 4 step regulator: ₹340, box of 15
- V276 Tiny EME 5 step regulator: ₹395, box of 10
- V278 1M Royal EME 4 step regulator: ₹360, box of 15
- V279 2M Royal EME 5 step regulator: ₹425, box of 10
- V1276 Tiny EME 4 step regulator, black series: ₹374, box of 15
- V1277 Tiny EME 5 step regulator, black series: ₹433, box of 10
The V278 takes one module, so it fits on a small plate beside three switches; the V279 takes two. The catalogue does not print a module size for the Tiny regulators, so check with your dealer before choosing the plate. Our 1 module and 2 module guide shows how modules add up on a plate.
VIYONA 137 and 138: ₹215 and ₹225.
VIZA ₹340 to ₹433, KEMPS ₹405 to ₹495.
The fifth step adds ₹10 to ₹65.
For lights only: ₹130 to ₹540.
VIYONA regulators for conventional boards
VIYONA regulators are for conventional boards, where a module would not fit. They carry our lowest prices, all 10 to a box:
- 137 mini 4 step regulator: ₹215
- 138 medium 5 step regulator: ₹225
- 145 ABS plate type 5 step regulator: ₹230
- 144 650W ABS plate type: ₹240
A plate type regulator comes on its own plate, so it can be fitted on the wall as a single point, for example when a fan is added to a room later. See the VIYONA plate type regulators and the VIYONA dimmer and regulator range.
Every regulator compared
Side by side, the spread is wide: the dearest regulator costs a little over twice the cheapest. Most of the difference is the range and the finish, not the job.
Every fan regulator we make, by MRP
Printed MRPs from our current catalogue. Bars to scale. Conventional VIYONA in green.
If your board is already modular, the cheapest regulator that matches its plate is the VIZA V275 at ₹340. If the board is conventional, VIYONA 137 at ₹215 does the job.
In KEMPS, colour costs extra: the G.Grey K613 is ₹35 more than the white K213, and the K614 ₹45 more than the K214. The VIZA black series has one price for matt black and S.Grey, so a dark board in VIZA costs ₹34 to ₹38 more per regulator than the white VIZA Tiny equivalent.
4 step vs 5 step: what the extra step costs
Within each range a 5 step regulator costs more than a 4 step. The extra step is worth ₹10 in VIYONA and up to ₹65 in VIZA Royal, where the 5 step is also a 2M module:
What the fifth step adds to the price
Our arithmetic from printed MRPs (5 step minus 4 step, white). Bars to scale.
Which to buy depends on the room, not the price. Our guides to the 4 step fan regulator and the 5 step fan regulator go through the codes and the rooms each suits.
Dimmer price list
Dimmers sit in the same part of our catalogue as regulators but they are for lights, not fans. They are rated by the largest load they can take, from 300W to 1000W, HSN 85333910:
- 135 VIYONA mini 300W dimmer: ₹130, box of 10
- 136 VIYONA medium 300W dimmer: ₹158, box of 10
- V271 VIZA 450W Tiny dimmer (printed “with LED”; not marked for LED lamps): ₹240, box of 15
- V272 VIZA 450W Duro dimmer: ₹330, box of 10
- V273 VIZA 650W Duro dimmer: ₹395, box of 10
- V274 VIZA 1000W Duro dimmer: ₹540, box of 10
- V1271 VIZA black 450W Tiny dimmer (printed “with LED”): ₹264, box of 15
- V1272 VIZA black 650W Duro dimmer: ₹371, box of 10
- V1273 VIZA black 1000W Duro dimmer: ₹540, box of 10
- K211/K611 KEMPS Tiny 450W dimmer: ₹275 white, ₹305 G.Grey, box of 10
- K212/K612 KEMPS Duro 650W dimmer: ₹425 white, ₹465 G.Grey, box of 10
Never use a light dimmer to control a ceiling fan. A fan needs a fan regulator; a dimmer on a fan motor can make it hum, overheat or fail. Nor should a fan regulator be used to dim a light.
Fitting a dimmer to LED lights needs a dimmable lamp; our dimmer switch for LED lights guide explains what works, and our dimmer range page covers the Tiny and Duro designs.
HSN codes for regulators and dimmers
Dealers and contractors billing under GST need the HSN code. Our catalogue prints two for this part of the range:
- 84149030 for every fan regulator: KEMPS K213/K214, VIZA V275 to V279 and V1276/V1277, VIYONA 137, 138, 144 and 145.
- 85333910 for every dimmer: KEMPS K211/K212, VIZA V271 to V274 and V1271 to V1273, VIYONA 135 and 136.
The GST rate for each HSN code is set by the government and can change; check the current rate with your accountant before you bill. Our dealer margins guide covers how MRP, dealer price and tax fit together.
What a regulator adds to a board
On a modular board the regulator is usually the costliest module. In VIZA, a 10A 1 way switch for the fan is ₹56 (Cherry V541) and the 1M regulator beside it ₹360 (V278): together ₹416 for one fan point, before the plate and box.

Our switch board price guide prices complete boards with a regulator included, and the switch price list has every switch code.
Regulators for a whole flat
A typical 2BHK has four ceiling fans: living room, two bedrooms and kitchen. Here is the regulator bill in each range, with 5 step regulators in the bedrooms where a range offers both:
Regulators for four fans, at MRP
Our arithmetic from printed MRPs. 5 step in the two bedrooms in every range; switches, plates and boxes extra.
The VIYONA bill is ₹880 because it is for a conventional board. Between the modular ranges, KEMPS white costs ₹140 more than VIZA for the same four fan points.
Three checks before you buy
Three checks before you order a regulator save a return trip:
- Board type Modular or conventional? A VIYONA regulator will not clip into a modular plate, and a modular one needs a plate.
- Space on the plate The V278 takes one module and the V279 two. Count the plate before you choose.
- Fan type A BLDC fan usually sets its own speed and many are meant for a plain switch; read the fan’s sheet first. Our BLDC fan regulator guide explains.
If an old fan hums at low speed after a change, the cause may be the regulator, the capacitor or the fan itself; our fan humming guide walks through it.
Box quantities and how to order
Regulators and dimmers come 10 or 15 to a box: 15 for the VIZA Tiny 4 step regulators, the V278 and the VIZA Tiny 450W dimmers (V271, V1271), 10 for the rest. We sell in full boxes only.
MRP is the maximum retail price; dealers often sell below it. When you order, give the code and, for KEMPS, the colour: K213 and K613 are the same regulator in white and G.Grey.
