What is VINAYAK KONNECT?

VINAYAK KONNECT is the loyalty programme of Vinayak Electricals for electricians, distributors and dealers: members earn on every purchase of our products and redeem what they earn against rewards, savings and prizes, all through an Android app on Google Play. It is how we give something back to the trade that installs and sells our range.

We have made switches, sockets, plates, MCBs and lighting in Mumbai since 1995, at our own works in Marol, Andheri East, under the KEMPS, VIZA and VIYONA brands. Our products reach homes through more than 500 dealers across India, and most of them are chosen, carried or fitted by an electrician. KONNECT is built around those three groups of people.

You can download VINAYAK KONNECT from Google Play. The app itself shows the current rewards and how points are earned, so this guide sticks to what the programme is, who it is for and how to judge it.

What is an electrician loyalty program?

An electrician loyalty program is a scheme run by a manufacturer that credits electricians, and often the dealers and distributors who supply them, each time they buy or use that maker’s products, and lets them exchange those credits for rewards. It exists because the electrician often decides which brand goes into the wall.

Most programmes in the electrical trade share the same parts: a member account, a way of recording purchases, a balance that grows with each purchase, and a rewards list to spend it on. Some add contests or prizes. The details, such as how much each purchase earns and what the rewards are, differ from one programme to the next and usually change over time.

Who can join VINAYAK KONNECT?

VINAYAK KONNECT is open to three kinds of trade member who work with Vinayak Electricals products every day: electricians who install our switches, sockets and MCBs on site, dealers who sell them over the counter in their town, and distributors who hold stock and supply the dealers in a region. Each earns on purchases of our products and redeems against the rewards shown in the app. Homeowners buying for one house are not the intended members.

Electricians fit switches, sockets, regulators and MCBs on site and often buy them, or tell the customer what to buy. Dealers run the electrical shop where both electricians and homeowners pick up stock. Distributors hold larger stock and serve the dealers around them. Our dealers are in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata, and in many smaller cities.

How does VINAYAK KONNECT work?

VINAYAK KONNECT works in four steps: you install the app from Google Play; you register as an electrician, dealer or distributor; you earn each time you buy our products; and you redeem your balance against the rewards listed in the app, which can be rewards, savings or prizes. The app shows the current earning rules.

That is the whole mechanism we publish. Points per rupee reward catalogue redemption rules are shown inside the app and are not listed here, because they can change and a printed article would go out of date. What does not change is the principle: earn on every purchase, redeem against rewards.

VINAYAK KONNECT app: download and set-up

The VINAYAK KONNECT app is an Android app, listed on Google Play. You need an Android phone with the Google Play store to install it. If you do not use Android, contact our team before you plan around the programme.

Once installed, the app is where you register, see your balance, check how points are earned and browse current rewards.

Electrician rewards program: what it means on site

An electrician rewards program pays back the electrician for the purchases they make or steer on a job, because the switch, socket or MCB an electrician picks for a flat or a shop is usually the one the customer ends up living with for years. For VINAYAK KONNECT that means an electrician who buys our switches, sockets or MCBs for a job earns in the app, then redeems against the rewards listed there.

A typical job runs like this. The customer asks for six sockets and a new board; the electrician lists the parts, often naming a brand; the customer or the electrician buys them at the dealer; the electrician fits them. The customer lives with that choice for years, so it pays for the electrician to pick parts that will not bring a call-back.

What VINAYAK KONNECT means for dealers

For dealers, VINAYAK KONNECT means your own purchases of our switches, sockets, MCBs and lights earn in the app, and the electricians who buy from your counter every week can join the same programme and earn on their purchases too. That gives both of you a reason to keep our range on the shelf and in the order, alongside the trade terms you already have with us.

What VINAYAK KONNECT means for distributors

For distributors, VINAYAK KONNECT means your purchases of our products earn in the same app as the dealers and electricians further down the chain, so every link from our Mumbai works to the job site can sit in the same programme.

A distributor’s job is regional stock and dealer supply. What helps it is steady demand from the counters you serve. Because electricians and dealers can both be members, the programme gives each link a reason to keep ordering the same brand. Your territory credit terms are agreed with our team directly, not through the app.

Which of our products electricians buy most often

The products electricians handle most are the ones that almost every house wiring or repair job needs, whatever its size: one-way and two-way switches, 6A and universal sockets, fan regulators, single and double pole MCBs for the board, and a line tester in the pocket. Below are real codes with their printed MRPs from our current catalogue, so you can check what a purchase is before it counts in KONNECT.

K101 is the KEMPS 10AX one-way switch and K102 the KEMPS 10AX two-way switch for stair and bedroom circuits. K192 is the 6A three-pin socket with shutter, K193 the 6A and 16AX universal socket. For the board, 401 is our VIYONA 10kA single pole MCB, marked IS/IEC 60898-1. The VIYONA line tester costs less than most switches and is used on every job.

What to check in any electrician loyalty program

Before you rely on any electrician loyalty program, check five things: who runs it, how purchases are recorded, what the balance can be spent on, whether the terms are written down where you can read them, and how to get help when something goes wrong. A programme that cannot answer these clearly is not worth building your buying around.

For KONNECT the answers are: run by Vinayak Electricals, official Play listing, terms and rewards shown in the app, and help through our contact page. A scheme sold by a middleman that is not in the official app is not part of the programme.

Why we run a loyalty programme at all

We run VINAYAK KONNECT because the electricians, dealers and distributors who install and sell electrical products decide much of what gets fitted in Indian homes and shops, and we want to thank them directly, on every purchase, rather than only when a big order comes in. A reward on every purchase is a plain way to say that their trust in the brand counts.

It rests on things that were true before the app existed: since 1995 in business, ISO 9001:2015 certified, 2000+ products from KEMPS VIZA VIYONA, and 500+ dealers across India. Our plates carry a 5-year warranty and are UV-protected so they do not turn yellow, which is fewer call-backs for the electrician who fitted them.
